Frustrated Biker Chick (or probably Hen, now)

We like to encourage the prisoners to set realistic goals and work towards them. Very sensible. Do I do that? No, not really. I bumble along happily, one day at a time, and am pleased if at the end of the week I have coped with another seven days of family plus full-time work. And my goal? My ambition? Totally UN-realistic! I would love to cross America coast to coast on a Harley-Davidson. Today I modified that and thought I fancied a trike rather than a bike, for some reason. This is NOT a realistic goal for my life. I've never even been on a (moving) motorbike. In the nearly fifteen years of my married life I haven't needed a passport as we've not had the money to go abroad. And just where on my motorbike would I stow my four kids and husband? But perhaps along with our sensible and realistic goals we also need a dream or two to while away boring moments.

Start by crossing your city.
Even marathoners need practice first.
And when all your kids are grown you and your husband and them could all go together.
Okay, that would be a logistical nightmare to set up, but it sounds fun.

Right side car - hubby
Left sidecar - kids
Rear trailer.

Problem solved, as since you would be in America, everything here is super-sized anyway.... ;-)

Good ideas, lol. Maybe I could get the Scottish Prison Service to sponsor me on a tour of American jails, or maybe I could get the Church of Scotland to sponsor me on a preaching tour of American churches, or maybe pigs'll fly.

Kite surfing, for me please, I'm terrified of deep open water; but it looks so much fun.
Loads of time for biking; a fast flash bike shot past my mums house (she's 82)I was expecting her to have a bit of a rant about how fast and noisy it was, but instead she sighed wistfully and said 'I wish I was on the back of that!'

I'll admire your kite surfing from the safety of the shore!

If you were going to ride the bike in the picture wouldn't you need a long purple-died goatee?

thm, even if I went with the purple-died goatee, my language wouldn't be as colourful as Billy Connolly's...

I didn't learn to ride a motorbike until the age of 45.. it's never to late to go after a dream, but sometimes it can be too late if you just dream and never achieve it..
