Tonight I've been filling out a passport application form. My old one was issued in 1991 and had in it a photo taken in 1986. Looking at my new picture, the years really have not been kind.
Six passports, incidentally, are costing us £328 not counting the cost of the photos and the mailing of the forms. We hope to take the kids for their first ever trip abroad soon.

Can I be the first to say you look strangely like my mother-in-law!
Passport photographs are never kind. My Other Half looks as if he belongs in Broadmoor and I look like a brain-dead muppet.
Don't take any notice of it. The officials at the border controls won't. As long as your eyes, nose and mouth are in the right place, they're happy. ;)
LOL. Didn't your mother ever tell you to wear sunscreen?
I actually think your newest photo has been quite kind to you!! After all, the camera never lies!
Cheers Graham. Cheeky midden.
Noddy, I hope your m-i-l doesn't read that.
Haha Ruth and Jay.
Man, that Scottish weather can be brutal. Either that, or you have been overdosing on haggis... ;-)
I hope this is the worst part of your upcoming travels. Thanks for a great laugh.
