Our current kitchen and our temporary kitchen. I'm more worried about missing my washing machine than the cooker! Do you think I could use the prison laundry? In a couple of weeks it'll be worth all the upheaval though. The old kitchen was literally falling apart. The other week the drawer unit fell apart, all by itself.

Uh, silly question, but is this all part of a remodeling job?
Not only should you use the prison laundry - you should use the prisoners to do the laundry.
2 weeks for professionals to fit a new kitchen...my hubbie and I fitted ours in the evenings and weekends over 3 weeks.
It's a nightmare being without a kitchen. I think you should use the prison kitchen as well as laundry!
